You are of course always welcome to change the positioning around if you find that a certain arrangement isn't working for you. The only problem is that the larger the item the heavier it will be so you want to think hard and make certain you know exactly where you want something to go before you move it.
Height - The first thing you need to make sure of is that you have a table that is of the right height for your purposes. This is going to depend in part on the sofa you have. When you are reaching over the arm of the sofa you don't want to be uncomfortable picking things up or setting them down. So the height of the table needs to be measured from the sofa arm height.
A critical part of the office that must get particular attention is the boardroom or otherwise known as the conference room. The conference room is usually a room used as a venue for meetings and get-togethers (e.g. staff meetings client meetings etc.). It is usually furnished with furniture called the conference room or boardroom table and corresponding matching chairs where participants would sit during the meeting. There may also be other pieces of furniture in there like an office sofa or some appropriate cabinets for filing purposes but mostly it should have a main conference table.
